Kelsea Ballerini took the ACM Honors stage to pay tribute to country legend Crystal Gayle by performing her 1977 pop-country crossover smash hit, "Don't It Make My Brown Eyes Blue."

The "Peter Pan" singer looked beautiful in the spotlight, showing off her long legs as she delivered a memorable performance of the Grammy-nominated track.

"Don't know when I've been so blue / Don't know what's come over you / You've found someone new / And don't it make my brown eyes blue / I'll be fine when you're gone / I'll just cry all night long / Say it isn't true / And don't it make my brown eyes blue," Ballerini sang.

Gayle's career was celebrated by honoring her with the 2016 Pioneer Award. During her career she charted 17 No. 1 singles, was the ACM Female Vocalist of the Year three times and was the first-ever female country artist to have an album be certified Platinum.

"With her unique voice and amazing hair it didn't take her long to become the multi-award-winning Crystal Gayle," Ballerini stated before performing.

Gayle was so impressed with Ballerini's rendition, she even gave her a shoutout during her acceptance speech.

"I'm not going to be able to sing that song again, that was just beautiful," she proclaimed.

We have to agree with the country icon.

Ballerini is keeping herself busy lately. She is currently on the road opening for Rascal Flatts, was just nominated for CMA New Artist of the Year and Female Vocalist of the Year and appears on a track, "First Time Again," on Jason Aldean's latest album, They Don't Know.
