Just Looking Around: Northern Maine Heritage, Littleton

This week's Just Looking Around photographer is Brian T. Corey of Monticello, who captured this emblem of Aroostook County's agricultural culture and shared history in Littleton on February 19th. 

The potato barrel, that simple construct of shaped boards and and bark, brings up floods of memories for those of us who worked Aroostook County potato fields in the years before harvesters became the norm.
