The top selection for the New England Patriots has signed his rookie contract according to Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle.

Reports out of New England are that the deal is for four years and the dollar figure of the contract was not disclosed at this time.  Jones was selected in the second round by the Pats out of Alabama with the 60th pick overall.

Other Pats draft picks that signed today include third rounder Joe Thuney who signed a worth up to $3.5 million with a $773,428 signing bonus and sixth rounder Kamu Gruguer-Hill who penned a four year deal worth $2.61 million and $100,356 in signing bonuses.
