Two days after winning the North Atlantic Conference Championships, Husson University basketball teams now know their NCAA tourney opponents.The Husson men will take on Amherst in the first round in a regional that will be hosted by Amherst on Friday at a time to be determined. Warren Caruso's team will take their 21-6 record into the NCAA tourney for the time in program history and try for their first win at the big dance.

Amherst is ranked 13th in the nation and have a record of 22-5. They are coming off a loss in their conference championship to Middlebury. Amherst plays in the NESCAC along with Colby, Bates and Bowdoin.

The Husson women will be heading to Montclair State for their NCAA game and play Albright College who won the Middle Atlantic Conference over the weekend.

The Eagles will be playing in their first NCAA tournament since 2011 after posting a 21-6 record this season. They will be led by senior Vicki McIntyre who is the NAC Player of the Year.

The Lions are 25-2 and ranked 12th in the nation.

Three other Maine schools are also in the field with Bowdoin hosting Westfield State. The University of New England will host Moravian College and St. Joe's will be on the road to play Christopher Newport out of Virginia.
