Husson University's bid to win back-to-back conference championships came to an end Saturday with a 20-17 loss at Norwich University.Inconsistant offense and penalties hurt the Eagles for much of the game. After getting the game tied in the second quarter, Husson gave up a go ahead touchdown with just :38 seconds to play in the first half and would trail the rest of the way..

Despite 11 penalties for 91 yards, the Eagles still had life following a touchdown with just under 4 minutes to play. The touchdown pass was made by freshman Corey Brandon who replaced an injured Joe Seccareccia who had to leave the game at the beginning of the drive.Husson attempted an on-side kick but the ball went out of bounds.

Norwich now receives the automatic bid to the NCAA tournament. Husson suffers its first conference loss in 2 years and stands at 6-2 on the season. They will close out their regular season next Saturday at home against Mt. Ida.
