Husson Coach Scores 400th Win

Husson Eagles coach Warren Caruso has joined the 400-win club. The Saturday afternoon 78-64 win over Maine Maritime Academy was anything but easy.

The Mariners led by two at the half. The game was tied 55-55 with nine minutes left. The Eagles led 62-60 with five minutes to play. Then Husson went on to outscore MMA 16-4 down the stretch.

Trevon Butler and Matt Talbot led the (9-2, 5-0)Eagles with 16 points each.

The (1-10, 0-5)Mariners were led by Nick Holt with 18 and Tyler Thayer with 13.

Coach Warren Caruso is in his 21st year at Husson and his record now is 400-185.

In the women's game...Husson scored a 63-41 win over Maine Maritime Academy. The Eagles were led by Stephanie Comstock's 16 points and 10 from Chandler Guerrette. The Mariners were led by Mary Badeen and Jill Perron with 13 each.

Husson is now 6-4 overall and 4-1 NAC. MMA is 4-8 and 1-4.
