Hurricane Sandy is headed our way, and some meteorologists fear that Sandy can do even more damages than hurricane Irene.  How will hurricane Sandy affect Maine?

Experts are predicting that Sandy can join forces with a smaller storm approaching from the west, which can trigger strong winds, snow, and rain. If Sandy keeps course then the hurricane will pass through New York and New England, though meteorologists say it’s too soon to predict where the storm is headed.

But, no matter where the hurricane hits, it will bring winds strong as 70 per mile to 100 per mile, potentially devastating and causing damages costing in the multi-billion range.

The National Weather Service in Miami is reporting that Sandy has left the coast of Cuba and is making her way to the Bahamas. The good news might be that Sandy is expected to lose some speed in the next 48 hours, but moving at a lower speed means lasting longer.

At this point experts are saying ‘the only thing we can do is wait and see,’ there is a slight possibility that Sandy can stay at sea.
