Human Remains Discovered in Upper Derby, N.B.

The New Brunswick RCMP's Major Crime Unit is investigating the discovery of human remains in the Upper Derby, New Brunswick area.

Shortly before 6:30 p.m. Saturday, police received a call from a person who had found human remains while travelling along a dirt road northeast of Blackville, according to Cpl. Jullie Rogers-Marsh.

The area is near the intersection of Highway 8 and Route 415 in Upper Derby.

RCMP say the death at this time is considered suspicious. ‎Further investigation is being conducted along with an autopsy to assist police in determining the identity of the person and the cause of death.
