Troopers and drug agents have been investigating a group transporting heroin from Lawrence, Massachusetts into York County.

Investigators learned that Polchies had traveled from Houlton to the Old Orchard Beach area in order to purchase some of that heroin to be transported back to the Houlton area to be sold.

She was due to take a bus from Portland to Bangor Saturday morning.

Polchies was located in the lobby of the bus terminal and arrested on an outstanding warrant for operating after suspension of her driver's license.

State Police spokesman Steve McCausland says that, during an interview that followed, Polchies admitted she had heroin on her and investigators found 30 grams.

She was taken to the Cumberland County Jail where bail was set at $10,060.

She will make her first court appearance Monday in Portland District Court.

Polchies has previous offenses for burglaries and home invasions in the Houlton area.

McCausland says more arrests are expected in this case.
