The top-ranked Houlton Shiretowners girls team advanced to the regional finals on Wednesday with a victory over No. 3 Winslow in Bangor. 

92.9 The Ticket reports that Houlton, led by sophomore standout Kolleen Bouchard, played a a balanced game and came away with a 49-38 win over the Black Raiders.

Bouchard led the Shiretowners with 23 points. Sophomore Aspen Flewelling had 11 points.

For Winslow, Heather Kervin led the way with 15 points. Winslow finishes the season at 16-4.

Houlton improves to 19-1 on the season. They will play the No. 7 Hermon Hawks at 2:05 p.m. on Saturday for the Class B North championship at the Cross Insurance Center in Bangor.

Houlton is the defending state champion in Class C. However, with reclassification, the Shiretowners moved to Class B this year.
