Shortly upon arrival, Officer Stephen Nason and Officer Gary McGuire received consent from the property owner to search the residence and the surrounding out buildings for Lincoln.

During their search, officers discovered what they believed to be a methamphetamine lab in an unattached outbuilding. Officers also found a number of items used in connection with the manufacturing of meth.

HPD then called in the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency. A search warrant was executed on the residence later that evening.

During the search, a significant amount of evidence was gathered which indicated that methamphetamine had been actively manufactured at this location.  Evidence revealed that Justin Lincoln was the person responsible for the production of this drug.

Because Lincoln was not found at the residence, the Houlton Police Department continued their investigation into his whereabouts. On Friday, August 23rd the department received information that Lincoln was at the Linneus, Maine residence of 37 year old Jennifer Cote. Officers apprehended Lincoln on the outstanding probation violation a short time later.

Based on other information gathered at the Linneus location, Jennifer Cote was charged with Class B trafficking in Schedule W drugs (methamphetamine). Clark has been released on bail.

Justin Lincoln is charged with two counts of Unlawful Trafficking in Schedule W Drugs (methamphetamine) and is currently being held at the Aroostook County Correctional Facility.

The Houlton Police Department was assisted by the Houlton Fire Department, the Maine State Police, the Maine Department of Environmental Protection, the Maine Warden Service and agents from the U.S. Border Patrol.

** The Houlton Police Department erred in giving the name of Jennifer Clark. Clark was not arrested. The correct name is Jennifer Cote. We have updated the post to include that.
