Houlton Lady Shires Basketball Team Picks Up State Championship, Gold Ball [PICTURES]

It was a nail biter of a game that had many Aroostook basketball fans on the edge of their seats Saturday evening as the Houlton Lady Shiretowners took on Maranacook in the girls Class C State Championship game. Lucky for us, they came out of the game victorious and brought home the gold ball!

Houlton defeated Maranacook 59 to 51 in the end. Congrats to the Lady Shires! You've made us all proud!
