According to the Bangor Police Department, officers were called to a Union Street apartment at around 11:30 p.m. Monday to investigate a reported domestic dispute.

An investigation revealed that, 28-year-old Steven Gonya, of Houlton was in possession of prescription medication that was not prescribed to him. Gonya was subsequently arrested and charged with unlawful possession of a Schedule Z drug and domestic violence assault.

Police say that after Gonya’s arrest, 26-year-old Casey Jo Henderson, also of Houlton was upset that Gonya was being taken to jail and began screaming obscenities at police.

Henderson refused to calm down, despite repeated warnings from police. She then began shoving police officers on the scene, according to Bangor Police. Henderson was then arrested. She was also found to be in possession of un-prescribed medication.

Henderson was charged with disorderly conduct, refusing to submit to arrest and unlawful possession of a Schedule W drug.

Both are currently being held at Penobscot County Jail in Bangor.
