Hodgdon High School Basketball Team to Lose Star Player
It's a sad day in Aroostook County, as it has been announced that Hodgdon High School's star varsity basketball player Chris Hudson will be leaving the team and the area to attend prep school in Massachusetts for the next two years.
The 17-year-old 6-foot-5-inch Junior forward led Hodgdon High School to the Class D state championship in boys basketball last winter.
Hudson will attend Williston Northampton School in Easthampton, Massachusetts, starting in September. He would have been a Senior at Hodgdon High School this fall, but will enter Williston Northampton as a Junior under a practice commonly used by New England prep schools known as “reclassifying,” in which transferring students repeat a year of high school before embarking on their senior year in order to become better prepared for college life.
Hudson will graduate from Williston Northampton in June 2016.
Good luck Chris, from all of us here in Aroostook County!
