The historic plaque missing from the Madawaska Airport has been located. The RCMP thanks you for assisting.

ORIGINAL STORY:

A World War II plaque was stolen from a monument at the Madawaska Airport in Saint-Jacques, said the RCMP.

The RCMP looking for who took the 3' by 3' historic brass plaque with raised lettering from in front of the 1942 Lancaster KB882 Aircraft display. The theft was reported on My 16th.

Anyone with information about this theft, or who knows where the plaque can be located, is asked to contact the Grand Falls RCMP at 506-473-3137.
