Crime Stoppers and the Northeast District RCMP, Bathurst Detachment, are seeking the public's assistance in identifying a suspect involved in a kidnapping and robbery that took place in 2015 at the Dépanneur 315 in Petit-Rocher-Ouest, N.B.

On April 13, 2015, at around 10 p.m., a man entered the Dépanneur 315 and demanded money from a female employee. After she gave him the cash from the register and a green textile pencil case, the suspect ordered her to give him her keys and come with him. The suspect told the employee to get into the passenger side of her vehicle, which he used to flee the scene. The crime was recorded on the security camera of the convenience store.

The suspect drove down a dirt road off Route 11 in Beresford, N.B., and dropped the victim off in the woods before driving away. The vehicle was recovered the next day around supper time in a parking lot at the end of Rue des Chalets, in Beresford. The suspect made off with approximately $500 in cash.

The suspect was wearing a beige or light brown jacket, beige or grey pants, a black toque with a dark ball cap underneath, and yellow work gloves. He wore a black scarf over his face.
