Two men were injured on Saturday morning after a head on collision in the Southern Aroostook County town of Silver Ridge.

According to Maine State Police, Tr. Timmy Saucier responded to the Pond Road in Silver Ridge at around 11:20 a.m. Saturday for a report of a two vehicle head on crash with injury.

A 2004 Dodge passenger car operated by 33-year-old Brian Fuller of Kenduskeag was traveling eastbound on the Pond Road and lost control on the snow and slush covered roadway as he was rounding a corner.

Fuller skidded into the path of a 2011 Ford pickup being operated westbound by 45-year-old Waldo Archer of Enfield.

Archer was unable to avoid Fuller and the two vehicles struck head on. Both Fuller and Archer sustained minor injuries in the crash. Archer was transported by Patten Ambulance.

Both vehicles sustained significant damage in the crash and were towed from the scene.

Tr. Saucier was assisted at the scene by Deputy Vance Palmer of the Aroostook Sheriff’s Dept. and Patten Ambulance.
