The Oromocto RCMP is seeking information from the public about a break, enter and theft that occurred at a home in Oromocto, N.B., over the holidays.


Sometime between December 24, 2013, and January 1, 2014, one or more individuals broke into a home on Miramichi Road. Jewelry, electronics and six firearms were stolen, including two rifles, two shotguns and two handguns. They had been properly and safely stored. The stolen firearms are described as follows:

  • Winchester Model 12, 12-gauge shotgun, with a 28" barrel
  • Ithaca 20-gauge, double-barrel shotgun
  • Ithaca .22-calibre rifle "Saddle Gun"
  • Savage 99E, .308-calibre rifle
  • Two Para 1911, .45-calibre handguns

The RCMP is asking anyone with information about this incident, or the stolen items, to contact police at 506-357-4300.
