Greg Bates is now a father! The country singer and wife Shelley Skidmore welcomed their first son, Bo Rogers Bates, into the world on Thursday (Oct. 19) and shared the happy news with fans via Instagram over the weekend.

"At 6:53 AM Thurs morning our whole world changed forever," Bates writes alongside a photo of his new family.

"In the past two days we have fallen in love with this little guy over and over again. God is amazing and we are so thankful for this new addition to our family. @shelleyskidmore you are my absolute hero and I love you more than will ever know for bringing him into this world," he adds. "Bo Rogers Bates we are so lucky to be your parents."

Bates also shared a photo of Bo next to a photo of himself as a newborn, and the resemblance is uncanny!

"Yep. He’s definitely mine," Bates writes.

In May, the singer shared the news that he and his wife were expecting their first child together: "Today is our 2nd Anniversary so it's the perfect day to make the biggest announcement of our lives. WE ARE HAVING A BABY! Blessed doesn't begin to cover it."

Bates signed with Republic Nashville in 2011 and released his self-titled debut EP the following July. His debut single, “Did It for the Girl,” reached the Top 5 on the U.S. Country Airplay chart. He'd later release “Fill in the Blank” in January of 2013. He has since parted ways with Republic Nashville.
