The 2nd Annual Safe Homes Aroostook 5K Run/Walk is set for this Sunday in Presque Isle and organizers are asking you to join the “Move to End Homelessness.”

The University of Maine at Presque Isle will be hosting the event from 1-5 p.m. Registration begins at 12 p.m. at Gentile Hall. All proceeds will be divided equally between the Hope and Justice Project and Homeless Services of Aroostook.

The first 200 registered participants will receive an event t-shirt and the first 300 registered participants will receive a pedometer.  There will be prizes for top fundraisers and the teams with the most participants.  There will also be drawings for raffle prizes.

The entry fee is $15 per person and children under 12 may participate for free.   Children can also enjoy activities in UMPI's Gentile Hall during the event.
