Gas Prices Still Rising Across New England
As the thermometer has been falling, the price of gas in New England continues its upward climb.
The latest GusBuddy.com survey says prices at the pumps here in Maine rose this past week 3,8 cents a gallon, to an average $2.55 a gallon. Most dealers in Presque Isle were showing a price of $2.71 a gallon Monday morning.
New Hampshire's prices went up 2.4 cents a gallon, averaging$2.51 a gallon. Gas in Vermont rose 3.1 cents to $2.56.
Meanwhile prices across the country showed a 1.5 cent rise to an average of $2.55 a gallon. That's 39.8 cents higher than a year ago and 8.6 cents a gallon higher than last month at this time.
