Gas prices around the Northeast have risen some more this past week, but  may start to level off as refineries ramp up production once again following Hurricane Harvey.

GasBuddy.com's latest survey saw prices at the pumps in Maine rise 1.6 cents from last week to $2.73 a gallon. In Presque Isle, the cost of gasoline was $2.93 a gallon, as of Tuesday.

Vermont's average price per gallon was also $2.73 a gallon, up 1.7 cents from the previous week. New Hampshire's price this week was $2.69 a gallon. That''s an increase of 1.2 cents per gallon over last week.

The AP reports that Patrick DeHaan, the senior petroleum analyst at GasBuddy, is saying prices in the last week appear to have peaked.

The national average went up 1.8 cents from last week to $2.65 a gallon, up 30.4 cents from a month ago and 48.1 cents more than at this time last year.
