It seems as the temperatures go up this Spring, so are the gas prices.

In Presque Isle Monday morning, prices stood at $2,84 a gallon, twenty cents above the state average.

Elsewhere around New England, pump prices in New Hampshire rose 5.1 cents in the past week to an average of $2.56 a gallon. And average gas prices in Vermont have gone up nearly a penny per gallon, to $2.63.

Prices across the country rose 4.1 cents a gallon the past week to an average price of $2.65. That's a jump of 12.62 cents a gallon from last month and is 33.1 cents a gallon higher than it was last year at this time.
