Gas Prices Continue Heading Down

Prices at the gas pumps in New England continue to fall

Maine gas stations surveyed by GasBuddy.com show average pump prices fell 5.1 cents to $2.26 in the last week.In Presque Isle, gas prices were mostly at $2.33 a gallon.

New Hampshire's prices decreased by 3.9 cents to $2.23 a gallon on average and the average price of a gallon of gas in Vermont fell just 1.7 cents.

Across the country, the national average went down 4.4 cents to $2.26. That's 7.1 cents a gallon cheaper than a month ago and 5.8 cents a gallon than it was a year ago.
