Gas prices around New England showed an upward climb in the last week.

According to the daily survey by GasBuddy.com of gas outlets around the region, it shows a rise in price. In Maine, the average retail price for a gallon of unleaded rose this past week 4 cents, to an average 2.69 a gallon. In Presque Isle, most outlets were priced at $2.90 a gallon on average as of Monday morning.

New Hampshire and Vermont both showed an increase of 3.9 cents a gallon. New Hampshire's average price per gallon was $$2.60, while Vermon't price was $2.67 a gallon.

Prices at the pumps across the country rose an average 17.7 cents a gallon in the last month and is 30.1 cents higher than prices one year ago.
