Fundraiser for New Hospice Room at TAMC

There really are some good heart-ed people in this world, and a group of nurses at The Aroostook Medical Center in Presque Isle are just that!

Nurses are always trying to improve the experience of patients and family members in need of hospital-based hospice care.  These specific nurses are being led by a team on the Medical/Surgical Unit at the hospital, and are planning a huge yard sale to raise funds to create a special patient room at the A.R. Gould Memorial Hospital.

The first-of-its-kind fundraiser will help provide added comfort to patients and their families at the hospital.

The Super Saturday Secondhand Sale will happen in the parking lot at North Street Healthcare in Presque Isle on Saturday, August 10th from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Proceeds will go toward the renovation of an existing patient room to create a hospice room in an effort to provide patients with an extended stay and others requiring end-of-life treatment a more home-like environment.
