The Sheriff's Office received a 911 call shortly before 4:30 p.m.Thursday reporting a man was operating a vehicle erratically in the parking lot of a local business, had struck a utility pole and was just sitting there revving the engine.

As Deputies were responding, the vehicle headed north on Route 1 toward Madawaska, according to a news release from Sheriff Darrell Crandall. A short time later a truck was reported off the road on Route 1 near Star Barn Road in Frenchville. Deputy Sheriff Corey Saucier arrived and found Patrick Kelly, 50, of Frenchville behind the wheel of his 2010 Chevrolet pickup.
