Local attorney’s Patrick Bennet of Kirkpatrick & Bennett Law Offices and Dan Umphrey of Solman & Hunter P. A. will present information to local residents on how to access legal resources in Maine. Attendees will also have an opportunity to meet privately with the attorney’s to discuss personal legal matters.

The program is part of a statewide initiative, Lawyers in Libraries: Law Day 2014, organized by the Maine Justice Action Group Collaboration on Innovation, Technology and Equal Access to Justice. The partnership includes Maine's public libraries, the Maine State Bar Association, the Maine Bar Foundation, the State of Maine Judicial Branch, and Maine's legal aid providers.

Several other libraries around Maine are hosting similar events. For a full listing of participating libraries, or to learn more about the Lawyers in Libraries program, visit http://www.lawyersinlibraries.org.
