A 24-year-old Fort Fairfield man was arrested Monday after police in Old Town allegedly discovered cocaine and other drugs in his vehicle.

Joshua Churchill was charged with drug trafficking and possession, according to a report from WABI-TV. Old Town Police said Churchill was initially pulled over for a traffic violation on Stillwater Avenue Monday afternoon.

Officers conducted a search after they said they spotted a jar of marijuana in the back seat of Churchill's car. Police say they found cocaine, oxycodone, and hash oil, along with nearly $4,000 cash and a handgun.

The report stated that the gun and money were discovered in a false bottom in the center console of the vehicle.
