Florida Georgia Line are gearing up to release their third album, Dig Your Roots, this summer. On a recent episode of The Talk, Brian Kelley and Tyler Hubbard revealed that they wrote a good majority of their new album at an unusual location: Kelley's tree house in Nashville.

“We have a tree house, my wife and I, in Nashville,” Kelley explains in the clip above. “Tyler and I have been writing in there and recording this whole album. It’s really cool. It’s really unique. The cool thing about that is you can get outside of Music Row, outside of Nashville. [It's] got a whole bunch of windows. You got nature and deer, turkeys, every kind of insect, anything you can imagine out there. Anything goes out in the tree house.”

He adds that the duo's new single, "H.O.L.Y." -- which is an abbreviation for "High On Loving You" -- is a "big old love song."

"It's also got a worship kind of song feel, and that really takes us back to our roots," Kelley explains. "Tyler and I first started playing guitar separately from each other back in church when we were probably 16 or 17 years old."

Kelley and Hubbard started out in Nashville by playing writers rounds on their acoustic guitars, so the song both figuratively and literally takes them back to their roots.

"This stripped down kind of love song, worship sound, really hits home for us," he adds. "We fell in love with it and felt like the world needed to hear this from us."
