Brewer baseball earned the final spot in an Eastern Maine Championship game thanks to a no-hitter from Matt Pushard and a 7-0 win over Mt. Blue.The Witches junior pitcher struck out 10 Cougars in the game and also had an rbi single at the plate.

Brewer will face their cross river rival Bangor in the Eastern Maine championship Wednesday at Morton Field in Augusta with a 5pm first pitch.

The Rams advanced to the tile game with a convincing 9-3 win over Messalonskee.

Bangor scored a run in each of the first two innings against Eagles starter Nick Mayo. They would break the game open in the bottom of the third by sending 10 men to the plate and scoring 5 runs.

A balanced offensive attack was key for the Rams who pounded out 12 hits. Jordan Derrah, Ben Crichton and Ryan Brookings each had 2-hits and 2 runs batted in.

Trevor Delaited pitched the first 3.2 innings and was lifted when the Eagles plated 3-runs. Andrew Hillier took over and went the final 3.1 nt allowing a run and striking out 4.
