Presque Isle’s downtown invites you celebrate the slow arrival of spring with the First Friday Art Walk on Friday evening.

Wintergreen Arts Center is hosting the abstract art of Lindsay Trombley this month. The opening reception for this local artist’s show “CoExist:  Meditations on Mother Earth” will be held on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m., during the First Friday Downtown Art Walk.

Coppers Lounge invites to to a Halfway to Halloween party. Dress up in full costume or half a costume, enter the costume contest, dance and request your favorite songs! Music starts at 8 p.m.

For the First Friday Art Walk, Café Allegro will be open until 8:30 p.m. rather than closing at 3:30. They will serve their usual menu for that time. Also, local artist Lynn Cote is displaying new art work in the café.

The University of Maine at Presque Isle’s Pullen Art Gallery will present the 3rd Annual Student Art Competition April 7 through April 21. The show features the work of students who are taking classes in the Art program. Students apply into this juried exhibit in either the 2D or 3D category. The public is invited to gather for a gallery reception, during Presque Isle’s First Friday Art Walk on Friday, April 7 from 6 – 8 p.m., with a gallery talk at 6:30 pm.
