One man escaped with only the clothes he was wearing when a fire ripped through his home in the rural community of Good Corner, New Brunswick, just below Centreville.

Firefighters responded to the blaze Wednesday on the Good Corner Road, about a mile from the Maine border. The home was destroyed in the fire. There were no injuries reported.

Canadian Red Cross spokesman Dan Bedell said disaster volunteers provided basic items and were offering additional help for the displaced homeowner.
