Deputy Chief Cummings said there were heavy flames shooting from the Warren Development building when crews arrived, so firefighters were not immediately sent inside the building due to the fact that there was compressed gas cylinders inside the repair shop.

Onondaga Street was closed to traffic for a bit this morning as crews worked to bring the fire under control.

Cummings said not only was the repair shop building heavily damaged, but there was also some damage to cars outside of the building. There were no cars inside the building when the fire started.

The investigation in to the exact cause of the fire continues.
