Fight in Edmundston Leaves One in Critical Condition

A 18-year-old Edmundston man has been arrested following a fight last weekend outside a club that left another young man in a coma.

Edmundston Police say the incident occurred around 2 a.m. Sunday.  The victim was taken to the Edmundston Regional Hospital and later transferred to a Moncton hospital due to the severity of his injuries.  He remains in critical condition.

The accused was released on certain conditions and will appear in Edmundston Provincial Court on March 18. As no charges have been filed, the name cannot be disclosed.  Before the arrest, police questioned several people who witnessed the fight. The investigation continues.
