Five state championships were handed out Saturday in high school field hockey and volleyball with the MCI Huskies claiming their first ever field hockey title.The Huskies got second half goals from Addie Williams and Kali Doiron on their way to a 2-0 win over Oak Hill in the class C game.

Skowhegan took home the top prize in class A with a 3-1 win over Thornton Academy. The state title is the 13th for the Indians in the last 15 years and their 16th title in program history.

The class B title went to the York Wildcats who beat Winslow 3-2.

State titles were also decided on the volleyball court with Scarborough winning in class A and the Washington Academy Raiders winning in class B.
