The director of the FBI has notified Congress that it will investigate newly-discovered emails in the private server of then Secertary of State Hillary Clinton.

According to a story published on the Boston Globe's website,  FBI Director James Coney told members of Congress in a letter that an investigation into an unrelated case caused investigators to learn "of the existence of emails that appear to be pertinent to the Clinton investigation.’’

The FBI had previously closed its investigation of Clinton's emails in July, filing no charges. Now the investigations appears to be reopened with just two weeks to go before the presidential election.
