Fatal Mobile Home Fire in Surry, Maine

A woman died in a mobile home fire overnight Sunday in Surry, Maine, said The State Fire Marshal’s Office.

The Medical Examiner’s Office is investigating to identify if the fire victim is the woman who lived alone in the mobile home at 300 Morgan Bay Road. Her body was located early Monday morning in the living room of the burned out home, said officials.

The home was engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived around 11 pm Sunday, said authorities. The cause of the fire will be difficult to determine as the mobile home was destroyed, said Fire Marshals.
