RCMP say one man has died after a highway crash Tuesday morning just north of Bouctouche, New Brunswick.


Police responded to the crash involving a passenger vehicle and a tractor trailer at approximately 7 a.m. The investigation revealed that  a vehicle traveling north on Highway 11 crossed the center line and crashed into the side of a tractor trailer, according to Sgt. Patrick Tardif of the Southeast District RCMP.

The 73-year-old driver, and lone occupant of the vehicle, was taken to hospital where he later passed away from his injuries. The driver of the tractor trailer was not injured.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
