The 2017 Emmy Awards keep rolling right along with one of the more intense competitions of the night, and it seems a great injustice has finally been undone. After many years of Mad Men snubs, Elisabeth Moss has finally taken home a statue for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama for The Handmaid’s Tale.

A visibly out-of-breath Moss thanked just about everyone under the sun, from cast and crew, to fellow Emmy-winners Ann Dowd and Bruce Miller, and creator Margaret Atwood herself. The telecast also had to censor Moss’ tribute to her mother, after “you can be smart, and kind … ”

Moss beat out a tough Emmy 2017 lineup that included Evan Rachel Wood of Westworld, Claire Foy of Netflix’s The Crown, Viola Davis of How to Get Away With Murder, Keri Russell of The Americans and House of Cards star Robin Wright. Last year, Tatiana Maslany of Orphan Black finally got her due with the award.

Well, did Moss deserve the win? Who got snubbed the hardest? Be sure to check out our master list of tonight’s winners, and stay tuned for the final awards from the 2017 Emmy Awards!
