BANGOR, Maine (AP) — Prosecutors say a former hospital worker placed cameras in three staff bathrooms and caught 12 employees on camera.

The Bangor Daily News reports Bangor police arrested 58-year-old David Waltz Monday.

Waltz faces 15 counts of invasion of privacy for placing cameras in staff bathrooms at Eastern Maine Medical Center. He was released on bail.

Efforts to reach Waltz, of Hampden, were unsuccessful. It was unclear if he had a lawyer.

Waltz's arraignment is set for Nov. 14 at the Penobscot Judicial Center in Bangor. He faces up to a year in jail and up to a $2,000 fine for each count if convicted.

Eastern Maine Medical Center's spokeswoman in late September said the hospital had suspended a staff member suspected of placing a camera inside a staff bathroom.
