Emera Maine Reporting Power Outages in Northern Aroostook County

Some 2,300 Emera Maine electric customers are without power at this hour in several Northern Aroostook County towns.

Emera Maine crews have been dispatched to determine the cause of a power outage this morning affecting more than 2,381 customers in the Maine Public District.

Communities affected include Madawaska, Grand Isle, Van Buren, Limestone, and Saint Agatha. Workers will remain in the field to correct the problem and restore service as safely and quickly as possible.

Power is expected to be restored to the affected towns by 11:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Emera Maine encourages customers to stay clear of downed power lines and trees in contact with power lines. Customers may report outages or ask questions by calling their Customer Service Center at 973-2020 or 1-855-EMERA11.
