Ellis Paul’s performance will take place during the same weekend that he will be featured as UMPI’s graduation speaker and honorary degree recipient.  This special concert will serve as a fundraiser for UMPI’s Auditorium Renovation Project.

Born in Aroostook County, Paul was a track star at Presque Isle High School and later at Boston College, until a knee injury pointed him down the road to a musical career. Ellis Paul has released 18 albums to date, and his songs have been recorded by many artists, including Sugarland. He continues to perform upwards of 200 shows a year.

Tickets for the UMPI concert are $15 in advance and $20 at the door.  Special VIP tickets can be purchased for $25 that include a reception with Ellis Paul at 2:00 p.m. in the Alumni Room.  The concert begins at 3:00 p.m. in the Campus Center.

Tickets will be on sale at UMPI’s Campus Store, Morning Star Art & Framing in Presque Isle, Foster’s on the Run in Caribou, and York’s Bookstore in Houlton.
