A family trio wowed judges and audience members on America's Got Talent this week with their pitch perfect cover of Rascal Flatts' "Bless the Broken Road."

Known as the Edgar Family Band, which consists of a mother, father and their daughter, the trio impressed with a powerful cover of the 2005 No. 1 country hit. The band performed the song with an acoustic guitar, and each vocalist traded on the verses to showcase his or her powerful pipes.

"Bless the Broken Road" is ranked at No. 19 on Taste of Country's list of the Top Country Songs of the Century. The song has been recorded by several country artists over the years. It was co-written by Marcus Hummon, Bobby Boyd and Jeff Hanna in 1994 and recorded by the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band later that year. In 1995, Hummon included the song on his album All in Good Time. Rascal Flatts would go on to record the song a decade later for their 2004 album Feels Like Today. The song was released as a single and went to No. 1 on the country charts, earning Hummon, Boyd and Hanna a Grammy in 2006.

Rascal Flatts have seen much success since the release of their career-defining song. The country trio recently celebrated their No. 1 "I Like the Sound of That" in Nashville, where they revealed a Christmas album was also on the way.
