A Caribou man faces up to 20 years in prison and a $1 million fine after pleading guilty to possessing and distributing bath salts in northern Maine.
Thirty-year-old Dustin Giles pleaded guilty to the drug charges Tuesday in U.S. District Court in Bangor, according to U.S. Attorney Thomas Delahanty.
Court records say that between January 2012 to June 2014, Giles conspired with others in Aroostook County to obtain bath salts from overseas via the Internet. He then distributed the bath salts to multiple customers.
Giles will be sentenced after a presentence investigation by the U.S. Probation Office, Delahanty said.
