Bangor's Trevor DeLaite threw a three hit shutout in the Class A North Region title game and the Rams beat Edward Little HS 8-0 to capture a third consecutive title.

The senior lefty struck out nine and walked just two for his 8th win of the season.

Meanwhile, the Bangor offense took advantage of every miscue by the Red Eddies. Errors, wild pitches,walks. EL used four different pitchers to try to hold off the Rams.

Not only did Bangor score eight times, the Rams left another 13 runners on base.

It's on to a third straight state title game for Bangor. The Rams will meet South Region winner Falmouth, a 4-2 winner over South Portland last night.

At Mansfield Stadium in Bangor, George Stevens Academy came from behind in the bottom of the 7th inning to walk-off with a 9-8 win over Houlton for the Class C North Region title.

GSA had built a 5-0 lead early only to have the Shiretowners come back and take a lead an 8-7 lead in the sixth innings.

But the Eagles scored twice in the bottom of the 7th inning, the winning hit was an infield chopper with two outs by Beckett Slayton.

GSA will take on Sacopee Valley in the state game.

HS SOFTBALL REGIONALS:

In Class C: Bucksport scored a 3-1 win over Mattanawcook Academy. Katelin Saunders struck out 12 for the Bucks. They meet Madison for the state title on Saturday.

In Class A: Skowhegan scored an 8-2 win over Edward Little. The opponent in the state game will be BIddeford.
