In front of an estimated crowd of 2,300 the Bangor High School baseball team claimed back-to-back Eastern Maine Championship with  A 1-0 win over Brewer.The game turned into a pitchers duel with the Rams Trevor Delaite striking out 17 Witches on the way to his 8th win of the season.Brewer managed just 3 hits but were unable to string any together or score a run against the lefty Bangor Pitcher.

The only run of the game came in the first inning when Jordan Darrah drew a lead-off walk and was moved to second on a sacrifice bunt by Delaite. Andrew Hillier then came through with an rbi single to provide the only scoring of the game.

Brewer starter Matt Pushard was also impressive as he also only allowed 3 hits and struckout 6. The junior suffered just his second loss of the season as the Witches finish the season with a 14-5 record.

Bangor will play South Portland for the state championship Saturday at 3pm in Augusta. You can hear the game live on Sports Radio 92.9 The Ticket.
