After a dramatic 12-inning win yesterday, Texas responded by beating the U.S. Southeast team from Virginia, 8-2.

Joe Gobbilliot threw 5.2 no-hit innings for the Southwest representative, while the team's offense was led by Turner Gauntt, 2-for-3 with a triple and 3-RBI, and a pair of runs batted in from Thomas Parks.

Canada scored twice in the seventh, with RBI's from Carson Arquin and Colton Lee, but went just 1-for-21 at the plate as a team.

Now 2-0 in the tournament, Texas will next play Pennsylvania, Tuesday (8/4) at 8 p.m. Virginia will look to continue their stay at the SLWS when they play the winner of Arizona vs. Curacao, Tuesday (8/4) at 10 a.m.
