Dan + Shay’s Bus Vandalized in Baltimore, Suspect Caught on Tape [WATCH]
Someone threw a brick through the front window of Dan + Shay's bus on Wednesday night (Dec. 14) ... and they've got video footage of the culprit.
Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney are in Baltimore, Md., for a Thursday night (Dec. 15) concert at Rams Head Live. The country duo shared a photo of their tour bus' smashed-up front windshield on social media, noting on Twitter that the incident took place in downtown Baltimore, and that they caught the person who did it on camera.
"Would post the video, but the dialogue is completely vulgar, offensive, and inappropriate," Dan + Shay wrote in the early-morning hours of Thursday. "Scary."
However, on Thursday afternoon, Smyers and Mooney decided to share the footage after all, just without audio. Three separate video clips -- all of which readers can watch below -- show a man in jeans, a hooded sweatshirt and a jacket winding up and throwing a brick at the tour bus' windshield, on the driver's side, then coming back to kick at the front passenger's side headlights. In the third clip, the man picks the brick back up and throws it at the front of the bus once again; before he walks away, the man's hoodie falls down, and viewers can see his face.
Dan + Shay have yet to share if the bus vandal suspect has been caught, or if they will pursue charges against him.
Following Thursday night's concert in Baltimore, Smyers and Mooney will perform in New York City on Friday (Dec. 16) and Boston, Mass., on Saturday (Dec. 17), before taking a break from their Obsessed Tour for the holidays. They'll pick the trek back up in 2017, on Feb. 9, in Chicago, Ill.; fans can visit the duo’s official website for more details on tickets.
The Obsessed Tour takes its name from Dan + Shay’s sophomore album.
“We have been so humbled by the response to our new album and can’t wait to perform live for our fans this fall,” says Smyers. “Our fans inspired the title of the Obsessed album, so it was only fitting to name the tour after the album.”
Dan + Shay’s current single is “How Not To.” They released the song to radio in September.
