• At age of 10 he performed original songs in local talent shows in Kansas.
• He co-wrote three singles for Garth Brooks: the Chris LeDoux tribute "Good Ride Cowboy", "That Girl Is a Cowboy" and "Midnight Sun".
• Other artists who have recorded his work include Jamey Johnson, Neal McCoy, Julie Roberts, John Anderson, Flynnville Train and Zona Jones.
• His tour bus caught fire on March 6, 2012. Luckily, he was unharmed.
